Texas Governor Greg Abbott talked about football and called reporters "losers" who asked for accountability for lives lost after the fourth-deadliest flood in Texas history.

Abbott, you are to blame, as are the Republican legislators who instead of focusing on what Texas needs introduced over 100 anti-trans bills this year and intends on passing a bathroom bill during the upcoming special session, the Austin fire chief who delayed sending help for budgetary reasons, the Trump administration for the absence of Paul Yura, the long-serving meteorologist in charge of “warning coordination” who had recently taken an unplanned early retirement amid cuts pushed by the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, The inspectors who approved Camp Mystic’s non-existent disaster plan just 2 days before the deadly flood, and the lack of a warning system on the Guadalupe river flood plain where children's summer camps are located.

Abbott responded in the same fashion, by going on the attack after police stood by as a gunman slaughtered 19 children and 2 adults at Robb Elementary School in Uvalda, Texas.

The buck stops with you, Greg Abbott, or at least it should have long ago. Texas deserves better.
