Tyjanae Moore focus of religious zealots hatred

Dave Welch, spokesman for the Houston Area Pastor Council HAPC is a boldface liar. Dave Welch, pictured left, would see this woman Tyjanae Moore beaten, for gods sake!

He knowingly made misleading statements about transgender people in the bible to support his desire that this woman, Tyjanae Moore be denied entrance to the woman's room and instead be forced to use the men's room and forced into extremly dangerous situations likely leading to physical violence.

See video upper right or this link

Tyjanae Moore in Houston Texas on November 17 was found and falsely jailed for using the ladies room. This brought out Dave Welsh, a right wing religious extremist who made statements that would have everyone beleive transgender people are something new and undefined in society and condemned by the bible.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

In the old testament Isaiah 56 "Rewards for Obedience to God"

3Let not the (F)foreigner who has joined himself to the LORD say,
"The LORD will surely separate me from His people "
Nor let the (G)eunuch say, "Behold, I am a dry tree."
4For thus says the LORD,
"To the eunuchs who (H)keep My sabbaths,
And choose what pleases Me,
And (I)hold fast My covenant,
5To them I will give in My (J)house and within My (K)walls a memorial,
And a name better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting (L)name which (M)will not be cut off.

In the new testament Mathew 19:11,12"

11But He said to them, "(J)Not all men can accept this statement, but (K)only those to whom it has been given.

12"For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept this, let him accept it."

As a angel of the lord instructed a successful pastor to leave his congregations comfort and travel a desolate road, ours together less traveled, in Acts 8;

"An Ethiopian (eunuch or trans person) Receives Christ"

25So, when they had solemnly (AH)testified and spoken (AI)the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were (AJ)preaching the gospel to many villages of the (AK)Samaritans.
26But (AL)an angel of the Lord spoke to (AM)Philip saying, "Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to (AN)Gaza." (This is a desert road.)

27So he got up and went; and (AO)there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he (AP)had come to Jerusalem to worship,

28and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.

29Then (AQ)the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot."

30Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"

31And he said, "Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?" And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

32Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:
"(AR)HE WAS LED AS A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER;
AND AS A LAMB BEFORE ITS SHEARER IS SILENT,
SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH.
33"(AS)IN HUMILIATION HIS JUDGMENT WAS TAKEN AWAY;
WHO WILL RELATE HIS GENERATION?
FOR HIS LIFE IS REMOVED FROM THE EARTH."

34The eunuch answered Philip and said, "Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself or of someone else?"

35Then Philip (AT)opened his mouth, and (AU)beginning from this Scripture he (AV)preached Jesus to him.

36As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! (AW)What prevents me from being baptized?"

37[[a]And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."]

38And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him.

39When they came up out of the water, (AX)the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing.

Trans people have been loved by our God, accepted by Jesus Christ and welcomed into the kingdom since the beginning of our Lords recorded history. It would be in Dave Welch's interest if he desisted from spreading lies and untruths about Christian trans people and our place in society.

I couldn't agree more... As a fellow Christian woman, I have seen more prejudice due to fear and a lack of knowledge within the church than virtually anywhere else... This has impacted the ministry of Christ more profoundly than the church will recognize... I have a friend that was removed from prison ministry, a ministry that God gave her the heart for, because of being trans and choosing to identify as androgynous so as not to offend anyone... The church still decided to remove her and now there are people in prison not receiving the gospel of God's grace because of it...

I wish we could get the church together and sit down, Bible in hand, and be able to educate them in love....

Love you and your ministry!!!

I am going through something a bit like this with my church leadership at the moment. I have refuted their Deut 22:5 argument with lots of later scripture that shows that we are not to be bound to obeying the OT laws that have not been brought forward into the NT. Of course, nothing like Deut 22:5 exists in the NT. Sadly, all my leadership can do trash my Christlike character and ignore the clear teaching of scripture. I am not angry with them, just hurt and disappointed - I pray that our Lord would bless the ministries He's called them to. God is my defender; I need no other...

I am a male-to-female transsexual who has chosen to remain in male form out of live for my wife and my commitment to my marital vows to her and God. They were well aware of this and the wonderful way God has been helping me to understand and cope with my gender dyshoria, but it is now a "sin" that I identify myself as as a Christian who is TG/TS, express myself in a "blended" way, and that God has called me to minister to people like me - no matter how nicely or well I explain myself, I am now treated as a rebel and someone akin to Satan himself - they seem to be almost rabid in their disregard of anything I communicate.

Oh well, the Holy Spirit made it clear to me that most people would not understand me when He asked me to walk along this path with Him...

Real story,

While I was protesting at the GW Bush Book signing in Dallas I was confronted by one of his supporters, a fellow follower of Christ.

He said "why shouldn't we torture them (anyone Muslim) since the Koran says kill all infidels?"

Flabbergasted Asked him if he had ever read he Koran. He god bless his honest soul said 'no I haven't'.

I told him the same is true for many Muslims and conversely Christians.

Out of a need of community and validation for our exclusivity and hatred we hold the lies and half truths as gospel our extremist Ministers and Clerics spout.

Because it would actually take effort many do not even investigate or respective holy books and allow ourselves to form informed opinions.

Instead we willing allow ourselves to be led way from what our profits and saviours intended, all because it is difficult to confront inner wrongness we willfully remain ignorant.

Thank you Roxanne and Brett for bringing to light the truth about transgender people and the bible. We won't be righting all the worlds wrong, but it's a start.

One thing that I tried to communicate to our church leadership is that concept of eunuchs is the closest that the Bible touches transgender people. Pat Conover ("Transgender Good News") wrote that history reveals that we were lumped together with eunuchs in antiquity and mentioned that the famous Jewish historian Flavious Josephus mentioned this connection in his writings indirectly. Of course Christian scholars have looked to Josephus to help provide a "secular" view of what was happening around the time Jesus walked among us. Anyway, I hadn't actually seen any such reference (and Pat didn't cite one), but the other night God led me to the exact passage in Josephus that makes this connection:

"Let those that have made themselves eunuchs be had in detestation; and do you avoid any conversation with them who have deprived themselves of their manhood, and of that fruit of generation which God has given to men for the increase of their kind:

let such be driven away, as if they had killed their children, since they beforehand have lost what should procure them; for evident it is, that while their soul is become effeminate, they have withal transfused that effeminacy to their body also."
(Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, 4.8.40)

Admittedly this is not a very pleasant passaged, but it did make my point that people of that age connected the two groups if only by their gender-variance.

Also, I could already have guessed this because I know what it's like to be on female hormones: it encourages people to feel and express themselves in a more feminine manner!

SO, I hope this little historical citation helps! It was one more way that our Heavenly Father encouraged me that I was the correct one in our controversy. (Thank You Abba!)

Sorry everybody about the repeated comments. I kept getting errors from the server when I tried to post. It said something about my post being two big, so I split it into two parts. (Maybe the Moderator could clean-up my mess?)
