The classification of gender diversity and nonconformity to birth-assigned gender roles as mental illness by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) has drawn growing protest and outrage from transpeople and and allies worldwide. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), published by the APA, is regarded as the medical and social definition of mental disorder throughout North America and strongly influences international diagnostic nomenclature. The fifth edition of the manual, the DSM-5, is in development and scheduled for publication in 2013. While the diagnostic category of Gender Identity Disorder (GID) has garnered most of the controversy, a second category of so-called Transvestic Fetishism (TF) has harmed transwomen, including transsexual women, as well as male-to-female crossdressers, dual gender and gender nonconforming people since the earliest days of the DSM. Trans and LGB advocates have been inexplicably quiet about the TF category, even after the APA proposed to expand the category in the DSM-5, renamed Transvestic Disorder, to implicate gender nonconforming people of all sexes and all sexual orientations.

The proposed DSM-5 diagnosis of Transvestic Disorder, even worse than its predecessor Transvestic Fetishism, labels gender expression not stereotypically associated with assigned birth sex as inherently pathological and sexually deviant. The diagnosis is punitive and scientifically capricious, serving to punish social and sexual gender nonconformity and enforce binary stereotypes of assigned birth sex. Petition the American Psychiatric Association: Remove Transgender from Proposed Changes in the DSM-5

Becuse our Identities are Not Disordered

The DSM is regarded as the medical and social definition of mental disorder throughout North America and strongly influences international psychiatric nomenclature.

On January 10th, 2010, the American Psychiatric Association released proposed draft revisions for the Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) to be published May 2013.

Although the proposed changes for the DSM-5 has substituted "Incongruent" a less offensive word for "Dysphoria", the ramifications of this diagnosis still exists as illustrated recently by our exclusion from the DADT repeal.

Transgender people's civil rights advancement has been and will be severely limited by our diagnosis in DSM as mentally ill by the American Psychiatric Association.

Anti transgender organizations cornerstone evidence for our dehumanization is the DSM which links our identities with with autogynephilia and pedophilia. Without fail the roundhouse blow during our engagement with anti trans forces has been delivered by quoting the DSM prognosis of our 'mental illness'.

Our diverse gender identities are a natural gift, not a psychiatric disorder.

Transgender/Gay divorce proccess paper served: Mili*ary DADT Exclusion last straw!

PETITION FOR DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE:

This Petition is for dissolution of marriage and it is alleged on oath as follows:

1. Petitioner resides at Any street, Every Town, Every State and has resided there since at least 1706 and (90) days immediately prior to the filing of this Petition.

2. Petitioner and Respondent were shotgunned married during the 1990's resulting in the T being assimilated into the gay acronym GLB in the USA with the marriage being recognized worldwide.

3. The parties were separated on or before September 27, 2007 .

4. There are six identities born to or adopted by the Parties. The names and dates of birth are: Questioning, Bisexual, Intersex ,Asexual, Gender gifted, Gender Queer. All were born ? years BC. The trans complainant is now pregnant with multiple identities and expressions.

5. Petitioner and Respondent are enter into an Agreement resolving all issues of the marriage, which is recorded in their Identity Settlement Agreement and Child Care Plan, a true and correct copy of which is attached to this Complaint as Exhibit �A�.

6. Petitioner is mainly unemployed and underemployed, being discriminated against during and after transition. Respondent is usually employed not directly affected by sexual affinity in the work place and now in the armed forces service of his/her country.

7. There is no reasonable likelihood that the marriage between Petitioner and Respondent can be preserved, and therefore, the marriage is irretrievably broken.

WHEREFORE, Petitioner prays for its orders:

a. dissolving the marriage between the Petitioner and Respondent;

b. dividing the marital properly between Petitioner and Respondent according to law and settling all marital and non-marital identity and expression issues of the parties and resolving child issues as specified in the attached Property Settlement Agreement and Child Care Plan;

c. and granting such other and further relief as to this Court seems just and proper in the circumstances.

Petitioner wishes to retain the umbrella identity of Transgender and not be associated with the name of "gay" or "gay agenda" upon the date of the divorce.

Many in trans community, already up in arms after Congressman Barney Franks offered his latest deceptions regarding 2010 ENDA's debacle blaming gender issues. Meaning if, transgender people had not been written (Married to gay people) in in the first place ENDA would have succeeded. I am writing you because of our shared passion that transgender people

How many times have we been assailed by gay media with the word
‘tranny’ being used as a pejorative?

How any times have we responded individually hoping for a larger
transender community response to back us up on a offenders blog?

How many times have we as a community been gang raped by gay media in
articles purportedly desiring goodwill dialogue with trans people that
in realty were thinly disguised efforts crafted to antagonize and
dehumanize us?

How many times have you felt as I have, powerless, when responding on
my blog knowing good and well I was only reaching 1/10th of the
audience as the offending gay blog?

How many times have we watched mainstream media pickup on gay media’s
predatory practices, parrot the offending gay media’s offensive
behaviour therby gaining attention exponentially.

How many times have you shared my sense of disempowerment when the gay
organization GLAAD, as admirable an ally as they are, is the only
organization to speak for transgender people?

How often have we been frustrated by GLAAD’s unwillingness to confront
Gay people and groups who are presently allowed to defame trans people
with impunity?

We will confront gay media without hesitation with every tool avaliable.

I have conducted a survey of trans identified people on TransAction
ConVergence. The results http://bit.ly/gLVkl4 of this survey provides
us with a mandate to speak on behalf of the trans community.

One tenet of TIME will be our vocal objection to ‘tranny’ being used
in Cisgender media no matter whether gay or hetero.

We will voice condemnation when religious groups denigrate us. Their
misrepresentation and defamation of trans people in religious media is
a major factor in for our present position in society.

There will be occasions when issuance of statements and blog posts
will be insufficient to bring about change. In these instances we will
initiate email campaigns, letters to the editor of local papers and
phone calls.

If all else fails, protests are the last option and will be done if possiable.

The group will be called ‘transsexual’ because the survey indicated
that moniker is most favored for people who identify under the trans
umbrella.

We will further identify ourselves as exactly how we identify in the
‘About page’. I would like to include a contributors (thats you) page.
You will be given the option to upload a picture and be as forthcoming
as possiable about yourself and where you live. Remember, visibility
is one our greatest tools in creating a sense of familiarity with and
acceptance from cisgender people.

Also, posting detailed information about yourself will help to silence
our detractors of which there will undoubtedly be many and be
forewarned, you may be targeted with misinformation and personal
attacks, some even comming from own community!

As a organization, banding together transgender bloggers and activists
and armed with factual evidence of transgender sensitivities we will
dismantle gay misogony and hetero transphobia in media. As never
before we will have a voice.

I see a organization run by individual bloggers and activists
belonging to Timeblog.org each acting autonomously, Each possessing
her/his unique abilities and passions cross posting from their own
blogs on Time. Each contributor will be empowered with equal abilities
to issue statements on behalf of TIME when necessary, condeming or

Battered South African lesbian petitions Justice Minister to criminalize 'corrective rape' from safe house

Earlier this year Millicent Gaika, a 30-year-old South African woman, was tied up, beaten, strangled, tortured and raped for five hours by a man as he screamed that he would “cure” Millicent of her lesbianism.

Ndumie Funda, a local community activist whose lesbian partner was murdered in the course of a similar “corrective rape,” reached out to Millicent through a small local charity she set up to rescue and support survivors of “corrective rape.” But last month they both had to go into hiding after the South African government released the perpetrator they had helped to jail on 60 rand (less than $10) bail.
Ndumie, Millicent and others decided to fight back against the rapists and the lack of accountability for their crimes.

From a Cape Town safehouse for survivors of ‘corrective rape,’ the women created a petition on Change.org targeting South African Justice Minister Jeffrey Radebe.
Please, they wrote, declare 'corrective rape' a hate crime, which would both empower and require South African police to take a harder line on the vicious crime.

More than 500 “corrective rapes” are reported in South Africa each year, and more than 30 South African lesbians have been murdered because of their sexuality over the past decade. Worse, for every 100 men charged with rape in South Africa, 96 of them walk free.

We can help here. Last year, South Africa's National Prosecuting Authority went on record refusing to formally declare 'corrective rape' a hate crime, saying "It is not something that the South African government has prioritized as a specific project."

New Allies: Southern Poverty Law Center lists 18 anti LGBT org.s as Hate Groups

Allies in the transgender struggle for equality are among our most valued assets. So when a organization that has long fought on the side of minorities declares our most venomous detractors 'Hate groups' we take notice, as does the whole of humanity.

The SPLC definition of a GLBT hate group "... the SPLC’s listings of these groups is based on their propagation of known falsehoods — claims about LGBT people that have been thoroughly discredited by scientific authorities — and repeated, groundless name-calling. Viewing homosexuality as unbiblical does not qualify organizations for listing as hate groups."

On the list is Concerned Woman for America which repeatedly consigned transgender, men and predator to the same sentence when informing it's membership about ENDA and Hate Crime Laws....

"That means that transgenders in these states who are residents and/or public employees may enter any restroom. But what about men (predators) who might pretend to be transgendered in order to exploit the vulnerability of women and children?"

"Everyday places where men/boys could be allowed in ladies’ restrooms are: schools (all grade levels), churches (unless there is a religious exemption in the law), daycares, fitting rooms, drug stores, libraries, swimming facilities, fitness clubs, child game stores, and shopping malls."

"In other words — any public restroom in any public place is covered by this law."

"The most dangerous bill, however, is the federal bill, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). This law will apply to all states and change the face of American society. The Obama Administration lists this law under “civil rights.”

It’s a law that pretends to respect a few while endangering women and children on a psychological level — if not a physical level. Men (predator or transgender) will be able to intrude in the most private of places."

Not provided in this groups position statement is proof. Not one incident is documented to lend credence to it's fear mongering tactics.

The Trentonian newspaper's Christmas Kick in the Teeth with 'Tranny' headline

The Newspaper evidently unaware of the problematic nature of the word 'tranny' made the change after being alerted by GLAAD which linked this article in it's announcement.

I would like to thank the Trentonian on behalf of the majority of trans folk who were offended by this pejorative and for your making this correction so quickly. Thank you GLAAD and Aaron Nobel, Merry Christmas!

The Trentonian headline published Sunday, November 28, 2010 reads "Trannies rejoice because they're finding jobs at Goodwill store."

In a holiday slap down aimed at trans people the Trentonian headlined this article with the pejorative 'tranny' ignoring the LGBT media guide ostensibly to rejoice in there good fortune.

Aaron Nobel's insidious intent.

The Trentonian's editor, Aaron Nobel knew it would be a win-win. He knew that a New Jersey newspapers story about transgender people in California would probably create little or no interest among his normal readership, and evidenced by it lack of recommendations, he was correct.

The Trentonian's editor is not ignorant about the harm he's doing.

Aaron Nobel knew this article would intense create controversy since this pejorative used once in the headline would elicit intense immediate condemnation from many trans activists, such as myself.

Aaron Nobel also knew this article would be indignantly self righteously defended by a majority of LGBT and hetero readers as well as our unrelenting foe, the predacious misogynists, because the remainder of the story was well written, celebratory and respectful.

As wonderfull as finding any job in these hard economic times are I have issues with this article because.....

The employees were slandered since none of transgender people interviewed specifically identified as a 'tranny'. The word 'tranny' was not used again in the article.

The headline suggests that 'trannies' would do very well to accept a minimum wage temporary retail job at a second hand store.

The title suggests that transgender people should be eternally grateful for and satisfied with menial jobs.

The title suggests a glass ceiling for transgender people, this being the most meaningful form of employment one could expect.

The majority of trans people detest this word as shown in a recent survey we strongly perfer it not to be used by cisgender media, gay or hetreo.

To put this into perspective.....

I am a transgender woman who last year after two years of unemployment found a temporary position in retail much as these woman have.

I have since been brought on permanent by this employer but survive at a pay rate 1/3 of the governments level for indigence.

I have been denied employment in the field I previously held since I transitioned. This retail job is NOT all I am capable of and I deeply resent this newspapers headline which suggests it is.

A sitting judge Joe Rehyansky has been quoted as recommending allowing men rape woman whom they consider unresponsive sexually or gay.

According to Pink News This US Judge would empower straight men to 'swing through the trees' and fuck woman by any means they deamed necessary.

London Wake UP! It's Kelli 'transphobic cultural imperialistic bigot' Busey Calling

I'm being called a transatlantic capitalistic cultural imperialist because I objected to a drag queen partying at the London TDOR with a rendition of 'I'm a tra##y'. Well London peeps, some of your own country's trans folk are equally upset about this.

I wouldn't have even know about it if it hadn't been for your own country woman's blog post expressing her abhorrence of what you did.

I said essentially the same thing Helen did, but as is my style, I took it further, inflaming passions and yes even pushing the envelope of decency and creditability.

But the essence of my objection remains valid and unanswered by your indignation.

How can you justify so offending any portion of your community just to satisfy your sense of rebellion?

Cultural Imperialism. Excuse me for jumping to avoid your jerking knees.

The Internet has long been used to mix our nationalities unique sensitivities and create new social mores. We have all long 'capitalised' on that fact without any of the participants of the London TDOR before voicing there objections.

Am I wrong about the 'T' word? Could be wouldn't be the last time. But here's the 'rub'.

The 'N' word at one time was used widely as a form of rebellion and self identity much as those who insist on using the 'T' word do now. At the height of the rioting the 'N' word was a battle cry, but ultimately it's usage was devastatingly detrimental.

Since the pejorative 'ni##er' has become mainly unheard, POC and others are now being understood, loved and respected by each other as never before.

After the 'T' word runs it course as he 'N' word did, history will be replayed and we will see the same results.

Dave Welch, spokesman for the Houston Area Pastor Council HAPC is a boldface liar. Dave Welch, pictured left, would see this woman Tyjanae Moore beaten, for gods sake!

He knowingly made misleading statements about transgender people in the bible to support his desire that this woman, Tyjanae Moore be denied entrance to the woman's room and instead be forced to use the men's room and forced into extremly dangerous situations likely leading to physical violence.

Tyjanae Moore in Houston Texas on November 17 was found and falsely jailed for using the ladies room. This brought out Dave Welsh, a right wing religious extremist who made statements that would have everyone beleive transgender people are something new and undefined in society and condemned by the bible.

36As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! (AW)What prevents me from being baptized?"

Trans people have been loved by our God, accepted by Jesus Christ and welcomed into the kingdom since the beginning of our Lords recorded history. It would be in Dave Welch's interest if he desisted from spreading lies and untruths about Christian trans people and our place in society.

TransAction ConVergence Survey "Who we are" results

The people who identify under transgender transsexual unbrella are now embroiled in a epic struggle to identify ourselves. This crisis has brought many splits in our community with the word 'tranny' being at the epicenter.





There are two arguments, one advocating the use of 'tranny' and one adamantly opposed to it's usage, with both sides supported with valid contentions.

One contingent of the LGBTQIA spectrum decries the usage of 'tranny' under any circumstances. This group contends that 'tranny' is a pejorative as presently understood, demeaning and demoralizing. This same contingent contends the word 'tranny' has never been accepted widely and in fact is synonymous with other pejoratives such as nigger and conveys the same negative connotations.



The other argument is for our reclaiming the word 'tranny' thereby establishing our self identity and revolting against modern conventions about the word. This component of our community also righteously calls out the most important tenets of our community, inclusiveness and respect.



In that this survey was conducted in good faith and all respondents allowed equal opportunities to voice opinions.

It is revealed that:

The majority of peoples identifying under the trans umbrella and allies find the word 'tranny' offensive when used by cisgender media since it's portrayal is enviably negative.

It my hope the people of our community who persist in it's usage and promotion take heed to there own council, respect our communities wishes and desist from this behaviour that is so harmful to us.

Drag queen "Miss Kimberly" Parties it up at the 2010 London TDOR with a rendition of "I'm a tranny"

Drag queen "Miss Kimberly", pictured right, regaled the London 2010 TDOR with a rendition of 'I'm a woman' substituting 'tranny' for 'woman'.

Helen G at the UK based blog "Bird of Paradox" seemed to be incensed, as were as she reported, many transgender people in attendance at the vigil. In a post about the 2010 TDOR Bird of Paradox she writes

"The use of the t-word last night by the singer at the London TDoR vigil was, in my opinion, both inappropriate and insensitive. Further, to expect all those of us attending the vigil to happily join in with the singalong as though we were partying at a nightclub, was either jaw-droppingly naive or deliberately provocative."

Why should Helen Boyd be surprised that the 2010 TDOR was desecrated by this man? The attendees weren't upset when he did the same song at the 2009 TDOR. Judging by the laughter of the men room such at the 2009 TDOR like J Jaiden Geirrsson's they thought he was a riot.



The 2010 London TDOR was a party laughing it up as a cisgender man who while performing drag makes a mockery of trans folk.

Where is the spine of London's transgender community? Why is the London Trans community complacent, complicit and silent about this atrocity?

Why has the London TDOR become a drag show? The only things missing from making the London transgender Day of Remembrance a complete insult to our dead was a strip stage, pole and drinks.

Or maybe the London transgender community will reclaim the 2011 TDOR and hold a event respectful of not just the living, but the dead as well.

I am writing you because of our shared passion that transgender people be treated with dignity.



How many times have we been assailed by gay media with the word 'tranny' being used as a pejorative?



How any times have we responded individually hoping for a larger transender community response to back us up on a offenders blog?





How many times have we as a community been gang raped by gay media in articles purportly desiring goodwill dialouge with trans people that in realty were thinly disquised efforts crafted to antagonize and dehumanize us?





How many times have you felt as I have, powerless, when responding on my blog knowing good and well I was only reaching 1/10th of the audience as the offending gay blog?



How many times have we watched mainstream media pickup on gay media's predatory practices, parrot the offending gay media's offensive behaviour therby gaining attention exponentially.



How many times have you shared my sense of disempowerment when GLAAD, a gay organization, speaks for transgender people?



I am conducting a simple survey of trans identified people here http://bit.ly/asvzsc that will provide what we now lack to speak on behalf of the trans community.



This simple 5 question survey provides every person to identify, including anyone who considers themselves a 'tranny'.



This survey asks trans people and allies about how they feel about cisgender media using the word 'tranny'.



We will use the results of this survey to provide us a mandate when we confront transphobic media using our new organization "Trans-AuCaUs Media Watch".



As a organization, banding together transgender bloggers and activists and armed with factual evidence of transgender sensitivities we will dismantle gay misogony and hetero transphobia in media. As never before we will have a voice.



I see a organization run by individual bloggers belonging to Trans AuCaUs Media Watch committee. Each possessing her/his unique abilities and passions cross posting from their own blogs on Trans-AuCaUs Media Wach. Each committee member will be empowered with equal abilities to issue statements when necessary, condeming or commending.



Our power united we will easily overcome our singular adversaries. Together we can do this.

Arrest Bush ~ Protesting with Code Pink at the Dallas book signing

Protesting with Code Pink at GW Bush's signing of his memoir "Decision Points," a guide to torture in Dallas Texas, 2 miles from the Bush residence. We demand Bush be made accountable for authorizing torture, imprisoning innocent foreign national.
We demand the United States immediately cease spiriting away people to former soviet block countries for torture. We were regaled unceasingly by cars passing by with with shouts of "FUCK YOU", GO HOME, YOU SUCK.



One bible thumper looked me in the eye and said, well the Koran says 'kill all infidels' so why shouldn't we torture them?

I asked if he had ever read the Koran on much to his credit he admitted he had not. I told him the same was true for many fanatic Muslims and Christians, both groups hatred of each other being fed by a misquoting hating voice.

Not that that excuses Bushes torture. NO it DOES not.

Our protest peaked when we moved directly across from the Bush heads and started chanting "ARREST BUSH NOW" which resulted in your face arguments and heated standoffs, all under the close eye of a ever increasing police presence.

Another thing. How many log cabin gays are there in Dallas? There had to be hundreds there sucking up to the murderer of our youth.
